Attention all birders – the always beautiful Vallarta Botanical Gardens is gearing up for the 2018 Vallarta Bird Festival this March. Running from March 9th to 11th, it’s the ideal opportunity for both expert and novice birders to see some of the over 400 species of birds found in the State of Jalisco.
The Vallarta Botanical Gardens is 64 stunning acres of lush landscape located just a short and scenic drive from Puerto Vallarta. The Bird Festival has a daily admission of 200 pesos, which allows you to tour the garden and enjoy several special events including:
- Bird photography workshops
- Educational seminars
- Exhibits
- Music
- Traditional dancers
Professional guided bird-watching tours will also be available at additional cost.
The Vallarta Botanical Gardens is a “local’s favorite” and a place that should be discovered and enjoyed by everyone that owns a home or condo in Puerto Vallarta. Our Tropicasa Tip is to plan for lunch in the lovely restaurant (try one of their specialty margaritas) and to pack a swimsuit for a refreshing dip in the river during your visit.
